Influence of Sub-network Selection in Digital Seismic Network on the Focus Locating

Selecting 33earthquakes occurred in different areas of Shanxi Province and its adjacent regions,how to select the best subnetwork for focus locating is studied based on analyzing the influence of locating network distribution on the accuracy of earthquake location.The locating deviation,horizontal error,fitting residual with clearance angle,variation with distances of near station and far station,and relation of locating deviation with fitting residual of two types of station distribution were discussed in different regions,respectively.The result indicates that it is suitable to select a sub-network including 9to 12rational distributed station for focus locating in rapid report.It is relatively suitable to evaluate the quality of the locating result with horizontal error.
