Research on High-speed Train Intelligent Prognostics and Health Management System

In order to ensure the operation safety and to improve the operational efficiency has received high level concern, a planning of high speed Train Intelligent Prognostics and Health Management system i¼ˆTIPHMsi¼‰ has been presented to optimize the limitation of the current condition monitoring means on trains as well as to conduct the active mode adopted in daily maintenance. With TIPHMs, multi-parameters data of the trains on operation can be acquired. Then the health condition of the vehicle or critical components can be assessed. Besides, the evaluation accuracy can be improved due to the two-factor authentication between the vehicle-mounted system and the ground monitoring system. Furthermore, the lifetime prediction of the vehicle system or components can be conducted. Finally, the optimized maintenance strategy can be given by integrating other information. The research of TIPHMs will have promising application in railway.
