Preliminary account on biochemical polymorphism in earthworms. I. Phosphoglucoseisomerase and lactate dehydrogenase in two populations of Lumbricus terrestris Müller (Annelida, Oligochaeta)

Abstract Two populations of L. terrestris were analyzed for electrophoretically demonstrable variations at two genetic loci by means of cellulose acetate electrophoresis. The results may be explained in terms of the so called “area effect”.
