A Review on Super-Resolution Image Restoration

Super-resolution image restoration is a technique for reconstructing a high-resolution image(or sequence) from an image sequence of low-resolution observation.Super-resolution makes full use of the similar,but not the same,information among each observation.This technique is widely used for remote-sensing,medical imaging,and high-definition television(HDTV) standard,etc.This paper gives an overview of super-resolution in terms of the mainly used techniques.With the present problems in this area,the paper gives some work and open issues that can be researched more in the future.
