전자식 수퍼차저 구현

Nature Aspiration(N/A) Engine can increase volume efficiency through supercharger and turbocharger systems. Supercharger has an advantage that reaction by throttle change is very fast, because it is linked directly to crankshaft. However, because supercharger linked directly to crankshaft, there is a disadvantage that there is damage of engine output and has a fixed boost pressure. Therefore, Electric Supercharger, driven by a DC motor, can control the boost pressure without damage of engine output and independently with a pulley ratio. In this paper, the supercharger characteristics were identified and a electric supercharger controller was designed to drive the DC motor. To keep a target pressure, PI control logic was embedded on a microprocessor. The electric supercharger system was installed in a hand-made automobile with a 125㏄ single cylinder engine. Performance of the system was verified under conditions that boost pressure ranges from 0 bar to 0.3 bar.
