The distinguishing device comprises a millimeter-wave radar arranged at the center of the front end of a local vehicle and a vehicle speed sensor used for collecting the speed of the local vehicle, the millimeter-wave radar is used for collecting a phase angle of the front target vehicle and the local vehicle and relative distance of the front target vehicle and the local vehicle, the phase angle of the front target vehicle and the local vehicle refers to an included angle between the connecting-line direction of the two vehicles and the forward direction of the local vehicle, and the connecting-line direction of the two vehicles refers to the direction of a connecting line of the center of the rear end in the front vehicle and the center of the front end of the local vehicle. The distinguishing device further comprises a data processing unit which is used for judging whether the front vehicle enters a curve or changes a lane according to the speed of the local vehicle, the phase angle of the front target vehicle and the local vehicle and the relative distance of the front target vehicle and the local vehicle.
