A low complexity filtering scheme for signal driven sampling

A filtering scheme was proposed to process non-uniform samples without re-sampling them to uniform samples. The non-uniform sampling algorithm combines Actively Selective Algorithm (ASA) and signal-driven sampling. Only the samples which carry relevant information are recorded. Based on the sampling scheme, a length-various filter is used. The coefficients of the primary filter are selected, grouped and summed up to form the new coefficients in accordance with the input. In this way, a long filter can be realized with smaller number of coefficients compared with the conventional filtering.
