High electronic excitation-induced crystallization in Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 amorphous alloy: I. Irradiation with swift heavy monoatomic projectiles

We present a detailed study of the crystallization induced in an amorphous alloy by monoatomic projectiles in the electronic energy deposition regime. The crystallization phenomenon was investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) for different lead ion energies (0.7?5?GeV), irradiation temperatures (80?300?K) and ion fluences (from 1 ? 1011 up to 2 ? 1013?ions?cm?2).
