A voltage vector prediction direct torque control system for induction motor

Considering the disadvantages of torque ripple and current distortion on traditional direct torque control (DTC) of induction motor, a new direct torque control strategy based on predicting the stator voltage vector is presented in this paper. The stator voltage prediction control scheme estimates the desirable stator voltage of the next cycle by the current state value and the desirable flux and torque. With the use of space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM), the inverter's switching control signal is obtained. Simulation results are presented to verify the effectiveness of this strategy. Based on this, the strategy was applied on the induction motor speed regulation experiment platform based on TMS320F2812DSP, and achieved good performances.
