REPORT TO THE OFFICE OF NAVAL RESEARCH.

Abstract : The Physics Division of the Aspen Institute for Humanistic Studies Report for Summer 1965 is composed of a statement of its activities, with attached appendices covering individual reports of the research conferences on theoretical physics, together with briefs on resulting papers. Sixty-six physicists, representing a variety of specialties and institutions, give reports of their work completed in the six-week summer program and also the results of cross-fertilization of ideas, not only among their colleagues but also in exchange meetings with participants of other programs of the Aspen Institute. Seminars covered were: Survey and Classification of Soluble Models in Field Theory; Exact Eigenstates of the Pairing Hamiltonian; Phase Transitions in Some Interacting Fermi Systems; Regge Representations of the Scattering Amplitude; Phonons in Liquids; Particles and Particle Collisions in Quantum Field Theory; The Superfluid Fermi-Liquid; Interaction of Lambda Beta Decay; Rotationally Symmetric Model Field Theories; The Effects of Radiation on Mammals.
