Indirect Measurement of Induction Motor Starting Characteristic Based on Wavelet Transform

In this paper, the frequency of first-order slot harmonic was abstracted from stator's starting current of a induction motor. The starting torque and speed was acquired by analysing the first-order slot harmonic based on wavelet package transform which has the character of excellent time-frequency location. Finally starting torque-speed charactefistcs of induction motor was acquired. The theory, simulation and test result testify that this method can accomplish the sensorless measurement of induction motor.
