STRAP, SPATIO-TEMPORAL RESOURCE ALLOCATION PROTOCOL WITH MOBILITY SPECIFICATION

This paper describes the Spatio-Temporal Resource Allocation Protocol (STRAP), designed to allocate resources on base stations or networks along a route, according to mobility specifications. The protocol was simulated on a model of a road traffic environment and compared with two existing protocols, a broadcast method and a geographic transfer model. STRAP was shown to be more efficient than the geographic transfer model but not as efficient as the broadcast method.
