Analysis and design of a single-bit noise-shaping quantizer

Noise shaping alters the frequency distribution of quantization noise via the feedback connection of a quantizer with a filter. Through feedback, the quantizer’s output tracks the input signal while suppressing in-band quantization noise. Consequently, the input signal can be accurately represented as a very coarsely quantized signal within the control bandwidth. This technique h3s various practical uses in data conversion [ I ] and power conversion [Z].
