Antimicrobial textile nanofinishes

In this chapter, we focus on antimicrobial textiles with a variety of medical, industrial, everyday clothing, and home-furnishing applications. This area of research has been extensively studied by many scientists who proposed new antibacterial finishes and application methods. Here we tried to provide some information on common textile bacteria and fungus, common antibacterial agents with special focus on antibacterial mechanism. The important issue of human and environment health has been also considered.
