Síntesis de la Libetenita por métodos hidrotérmicos

La Libetenita es un mineral de formula Cu2(PO4)(OH), obtenido por el metodo de sintesis hidrotermica bajo condiciones mas suaves de temperatura y presion que las reportadas en la literatura. El material se caracterizo mediante difraccion de rayos X de polvos, analisis termogravimetrico y analisis elemental. Los parametros de celda cristalina: a = 8,071(2), b = 8,403(4), c = 5,898(3)A, grupo espacial Pnnm (Ortorrombico), V = 399 A3 y Z = 4 se determinaron a traves de estudios cristalograficos. Los analisis termogravimetrico y de difraccion de rayos X, mostraron que el solido es estable hasta los 580 °C, temperatura en la cual hay cambios significativos en la estructura descomponiendose en Cu4O(PO4)2 y agua.
