Managing Information Systems Personnel: A Reveiw of the Literature and Managerial Implications

This article reviews empirical and selected conceptual research on managing human resources in the information systems field and points toward general conclusions. The authors make general suggestions for improving study methodologies and offer content areas in need of future research. They also highlight the managerial implications of the research reviewed and discuss the challenges ahead for IS managers.
