Research on Sensorless Control of Brushless DC Motor for Aircraft Air Conditioning Compressor

The compressor is a key component of the aircraft air conditioning system, and its performance directly affects the overall performance of the latter. Based on excellent characteristics such as high efficiency, brushless DC motors are ideal for compressor drive motors. To solve the problem of poor reliability of Hall position sensor in high temperature environment, this paper studies the position sensorless control method of brushless DC motor for air conditioning compressor. Based on the basic principle of the back-EMF method, the terminal voltage measurement back-EMF zero-crossing rotor position detection method is adopted. By designing a reasonable low-pass filter, the high-frequency switching noise of the PWM chopping signal can be effectively filtered out. The least-squares method is used to construct a phase delay compensation function to compensate for the phase shift caused by the low-pass filtering and improve the motor operating efficiency. The motor control adopts a three-stage startup method, and the speed loop and the current loop adopt anti-saturation PID controller. Finally, an experimental platform is set up and the experimental results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the control strategy.
