Reliability of the Local IP Bearer Network: Analysis and Optimization

Employing traditional manual approach to analyzing the reliability of 5G network tends to be inefficient, error-prone, and unable to effectively guide the network optimization. To solve these problems, the network topology has first been approached and complex network topology has been analyzed by the graph theory. The R-T (ring-tree topology) method and the concept of branch depth have been proposed, and then the approximate relationship between the branch depth and network reliability has been achieved through mathematical derivation, based on which a set of network analysis software has been developed. Eventually specific cases have proved that this approach and software will be able to quickly conduct analysis for the network reliability and provide specific target objects for optimization, so as to improve reliability at a lower cost, and effectively improve the network operation as well as management and maintenance capabilities of the operators.
