Finite Element Thermo-mechanical Transient Analysis of Concrete Structure☆

Abstract The presented paper deals with transient thermal - stress analysis of a concrete structure around a nuclear reactor loaded by self-weight and thermal loads. The finite element method (FEM) simulations were performed for various material characteristics of concrete based on experimentally obtained physical-mechanical properties and measuring of temperatures of the structure. The proposed calculation model, procedures of numerical simulation have been describing in conclusions of analysis. The numerical simulation has been performed by means of the FEM using commercially available ANSYS software.
