Research on Detachability of Remotes Based on ADSM

The connection of remotes' shells mainly adopts non-detachable snap-fits at present. It has a low efficiency to detach them, what causes a large cost to recycle the remote controls. This paper bases on the technique of active disassembly using smart materials (ADSM), using the characteristics of shape memory alloys to design actively disassemble devices, realises the Remotes' active disassembly. The technique of ADSM improves the detachability of remote control, advances the efficiency of disassembly, and reduces the disassembly costs, so it is fit to large-scale disassembly.
