Project based engineering education: a case for teaching EMC/EMI

This paper advocates the need to introduce a course on EMC at undergraduate level. In addition, it discusses and outlines the essential contents of such a course, which can be taken by engineering students with very basic knowledge of electromagnetism. An EMC course is, also, beneficial for non-electrical major students such as mechatronics. The authors also discuss various issues and methodologies used during the introduction of a project based EMC unit at the University of Western Sydney.
