Silicon diode temperature sensors for process systems

Abstract Thermocouples and platinum resistance thermometers are commonly employed in low temperature engineering and process cycles. This paper argues that temperature sensors based on silicon diodes provide superior performance, giving higher accuracy and fast response, with simpler instrumentation.
