Blind copula based copy-move forgery detection algorithm

We present a new blind copy-move forgery detection algorithm that employs copula functions on sub-band(s) of a steerable pyramid decomposed image. Our results from 3000 images of the COMOFOD database show that this algorithm precisely detects forgery in images even if they are subjected to geometric transformation or post processed. This algorithm is ideal for security printing documents verification and can be used off line on industrial electronic equipment (smartphones and digital cameras) or online.
