A Bayesian Approach to Simultaneous Range Ambiguity Resolving and Tracking for High Pulse-Repetition Frequency Radar

The problem of simultaneous range ambiguity resolving and tracking for high pulse repetition frequency(HPRF) radar is considered.The pulse interval number(PIN) and its incremental variable are taken as discrete components of the target states and the target states such as target range and radial velocity are considered as continuous components.Thus,the simultaneous range ambiguity resolving and tracking problem is transformed into a hybrid estimation problem in a Bayesian framework and solved by a particle filter.The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed Bayesian approach can correctly resolve the range ambiguity under the condition of the variation in PIN and has higher tracking accuracy than the multiple hypothesis method.
