Monostatic ISAR coherent 3-D imaging of space target based on sparse constraint

This letter presents a novel 3-D coherent ISAR imaging algorithm based on mono-static radar observation. Due to the intrinsic orbit characteristics of the space target, the pitch dimension resolution is obtained by utilizing multiple orbits observation relative to radar. For the sparse characteristic of the target echo signal, the information of all resolution cells from the same image is also taken into account under the condition of sparse constraint to achieve coherence processing. Compared with the directly Fourier transform algorithm, the proposed method can effectively suppress the false scattering point target and achieve more accurate 3-D imaging result.
