Optimal Short-term Operation of Wind-PV-Hydro-Thermal System With Cascade Reservoirs Considering Shiftable Loads

Driven by the goal of carbon neutrality, renewable energy penetration will keep rising, which will become a difficult problem to the dispatch of power systems and accommodation of renewable energy. Cascade hydropower system (CHS) and shiftable loads are flexible resources with excellent performance to regulate the drastic fluctuations of renewable power. Therefore, this paper establishes an optimal dispatching model of the wind-PV-hydro-thermal system considering cascade reservoirs and shiftable loads. With the case study founded on the CHS in the upper Wujiang River in China, effectiveness of the proposed model gets the verification.
