EVALUATION OF THE PROPOSED CALCULATION METHOD FOR THE SUNSHADING AND INSULATING EFFECT THROUGH COMPARISON WITH TWO EXPERIMENT HOUSES CONSTRUCTED IN KAGOSHIMA CITY

The A-type and B-type of detached houses were constructed in Kagoshima City in 2005. The A-type has the thermal performance which met the Japan Energy-saving Standards of Next Generation. Although the sunshading techniques which are composed of higher solar reflectance of the outside surfaces and lower surface emissivity as well as larger sizes of the opening of vented air-layers are only introduced to the B-type, the other specifications of the B-type are the same as those of the A-type. Through the actual measurements covering a period of thirty months we have clarified the two key points. (1).Approximately 60% of heat-gain in summer and 20% of heat-loss in winter were cut by these techniques. (2).Comparison with the measurements and calculations by the method proposed in our previous paper was also carried out. The results by the calculation well represented the values by the measurement after adjustments of actual nocturnal radiation.
