The World Bank's Global Road Safety Partnership

This article expresses concern about the content of the World Bank's Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) Web site. Some of the arguments presented to support the expressed concern include: The website advocates approaches that have never been scientifically evaluated; no evidence is shown demonstrating that driver education or training, including "defensive driving" courses, can change the crash risk of most road users; many discredited measures are identified as acceptable measures. Included is a list of activities recommended for inclusion to the Web site.
