Model Test and Study of Pile Foundation of Bridge-Soil Interaction Acted by Earthquake

This paper provides a model test which simulates pile foundation of bridge-soil interaction by an earthquake wave to verify that the theoretical analysis is possible with the help of finite element. The model test scaled 1∶50 presents results of pile axis forces and soil displacement. The results have proved to be similar to calculating values given by computer in the case of two-dimensional and quad-node finite element.
