This study evaluates the self-cleaning ability of ultra high performance concrete(UHPC) which contains titanium dioxide nanoparticles. Thanks to the advantages of high flowability and high strength, the UHPC can be manufactured in a very slender shape, and it becomes the most appropriate material to fabricate slim structures or claddings. In that case, clear surface is very significant and can be achieved by substituting UHPC fillers to TiO2 nanoparticles which have been widely used as photocatalys.. To evaluate the self-cleaning ability of UHPC, water contact angle(WCA) and degradation of methylene blue solution’s diameter after UV-irradiation were measured. The result clearly shows that substituting UHPC fillers to TiO2 nanoparticles effectively increases the self-cleaning ability of UHPC. Both of the WCA and diameter of methylene blue solution are much more decreased in case of 2 hours UV-irradiation and 100% TiO2 substitution.
