Noise Simulation of Cone-beam CT Imaging System

This paper developed a computer noise simulation model for cone-beam based on computed tomography.This model was based on the mono-energetic X-ray approximation theory and allowed us to investigate the primary performances of the main components,specifically for quantum noise,detector blurring and additive system noise.The noise simulation model was verified by an example.The practice shows that the images of low contrast objects can be produced and used for image quality evaluation.
