Study on Revers Power Flow From Micro-Grid to Power System

This study examines a system that increases the introduction amount of photovoltaics (PV) in the micro-grids system. Micro-grids have been attracting attention in order to expand the use of renewable energy such as PV. They are also used when an emergency power supply is required. Therefore, the UPS incorporates a switch to isolate the micro-grids from the utility grid in emergency situations. Owing to this switch, the capacity of the PV is limited by the capacity of the switch. This study constructed a micro-grid system in which the installed capacity of the PV is not limited by the capacity of the ACSW. As a result, the amount of PV introduced into the grid can be further increased. Moreover, there exists the possibility that the PV utilization rate may be improved.
