A Local Content Routing Method for Cache Group in P2P-CDN ⋆

Content Delivery Network (CDN) is a content acceleration technology in Internet. The contents were distributed to the servers that close to the users, so it can decrease the access latency of content for the users. P2P-CDN is a kind of CDN based on P2P. The architecture of P2P-CDN was divided into three layers. The first layer is the management layer. The second layer is global routing layer. The third layer is collaborative cache group layer. The content request routing method in the third layer is also called local content routing method, and it is an important issue. In this paper, a routing method named DCG-1hop for the third layer was presented. This method is based on the One-hop algorithm. There are two main improved points. Firstly, the G-L and L-G modules were design for the conversion between the global and the local routing. Secondly, the index integrated mechanism were design for decrease the routing time. In this mechanism, the indexes of relevant contents were integrated through the index cache mechanism. A simulation experiment platform was established for analysis. The experimental results show that the DCG-1hop method has better performance than the traditional one-hop routing algorithm in the local routing in P2P-CDN.
