Sources of Efficiency in Planning: A Survey

Planning is part of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) research field. In the early days of AI, planning was motivated by the needs of robotics. The planning process of a robot was responsible for generating a sequence of actions which, when executed by the robot, would achieve its goals.
