운전자의 졸음 감지를 위한 눈 영상 검출에 있어서의 안경 반사광 제거 기법

In this paper, we propose a method of removing reflected light from glasses using the multiscale retinex (MSR) algorithm. The reflected light from glasses used by a driver is a factor that makes it difficult to detect the eye region. In order to remove driver"s eyeglasses reflection, we detected the face and eye regions from an input image and applied the MSR algorithm to the RGB regions of the input image. From our experimental result, the success rate of eyeglass reflection removal was 90% in the left eye case, and 92% in the right eye case. Thus, the average success rate was 90%, which indicates that the technique can be used in the process of eye image detection for a driver"s drowsiness checking system.
