Composition of the Essential Oil from Roots of Salvia hypoleuca Benth. from Iran

Abstract The water-distilled roots oil of Salvia hypoleuca Benth., a plant native to Iran, was studied by GC/MS. Among the 19 constituents identified, hexadecanoic acid (27.4%) and viridiflorol (14.9%) were the major components.
