A method of data communication in a network as well as network

The invention relates to a method for data communication in a network (1), in particular a closed network such as a rail network, the network comprising at least a first sub-network (2) and a second sub-network (3), which are coupled together, and wherein a device (L) via the second sub-network (3) to the first sub-network (2) connected, wherein - the device (L) in the first subnetwork (2) are associated with two or more first network addresses (85) directly or indirectly, - is the device (L) in the second sub-network (3) a second network address (80) associated, - for communication with the device (L) from the first subnetwork (2) the two or more first network addresses (85) in the second network address (80) and for communication of the device (L) with the first sub-network (2) the second network address (80) must be implemented in one of the two or more first network addresses (85), according to the invention a part of the second network address (80) includes an address translation information (81), on the basis of the second network address (80) in the address translation clearly exactly respectively one of the two or more first network addresses (85) is assigned. The second network addresses thus shall assume all the necessary information, which is necessary for proper allocation of the second network address to the first network addresses. In this way are no mechanisms for connection tracking and thus requires no necessary for memory.
