Abstract Work-breakdown structures and organization-breakdown structures have been discussed many times, from different points of view. The paper presents the project-breakdown structure, which includes the WBS and OBS, as an instrument for representing project systems. The paper details the preparation of PBSs for practical purposes. The supporting discussion and analysis show it to be a valid tool for complex projects.
