GPU acceleration on computational dosimetry for rabbit eyes exposed to millimeter waves

The MMW (Millimeter-wave 30 GHz ? 300 GHz) exposure is limited by ICNIRP guideline. Provided guideline for MMW band is based on small amount of data, therefore accumulation of data is desired to evaluate the validity of the guideline. The ocular injure caused by MMW exposure is highly depend on the temperature elevation in the anterior part of the ocular tissue with the complicated structure. The purpose of this study is to clarify the temperature transport mechanism caused by the MMW exposure for the eye through the computer simulation with geometrical model. We have originally developed the coupled analysis system on electromagnetic field (EMF) and heat transport (HT) including the convection model. This code is accelerated by the GPGPU (General-Purpose computing on Graphics Processing Units) technique.
