Standardizzazione di due test di memoria per uso clinico: Breve Racconto e Figura di Rey

In this paper we report the normative and validity data of two episodic memory tasks, the first one based on verbal data (Short-Story recall), the second one on visuo-spatial data (Rey's Figure). In both tasks, recall wasinvestigated immediately after presentation and following a 20 minutes delay interval. This provided us with data regarding both information acquisition and forgetting. The two memory tasks have been administrated to about 230 healthy subjects ranging in age from 20 to 90, to 28 patients with Alzheimer's disease and to more than 40 chronic survivors of severe traumatic brain-injury. Performance scores have been statistically analysed in order to provide normative data for the scores adjustment according to age, literacy and sex and to compute the lower limits of the tolerance intervals able to discriminate healthy subjects from patients with organic memory disorders. The combined utilization of recall scores from both the tasks is quite reliable in discriminating healthy subjects from patients with Alzheimer's disease.
