A note on the global stability and bifurcation phenomenon of a Lotka-Volterra food chain.

Abstract In this short note, we shall describe the behavior of a Lotka-Volterra food chain with a carrying capacity in the first species. The results we obtained will provide answers to the questions raised in Smith (1974), Freedman & Waltman (1977) and Gard & Hallam (1978).
