Statistical Methodology in Prediction of Car Body Sheet Demand

Abstract Automotive industry development causes a permanent increase of demands for various kinds of car body sheets. To satisfy those demands efficiently it is important to realize the significance of the methods of statistical analysis of tendency and development prediction. Model of Box-Jenkins is applied to time-series analysis and decomposition, which are important in car body sheets production. The data come from Sendzimir Steel Plant in Cracow, Poland. Macroeconomic variables such as trends, seasonality and production periodicity, time-series decomposition are used. Method of Box-Jenkins has proved to be one of the best method of time-series analysis.
