Research on the performance of ad hoc on-demand routing protocols

Two important on-demand routing protocols,AODV(Ad hoc on-demand distance vector) and DSR(Dynamic source routing),are studied contrastively. With the Opnet platform,a simulation experiment is done to find their performances in different scenarios.Simulation results show that, when the node number increases,AODV has a lower rate of delay and packet-loss compared with DSR,so AODV is more suitable for the network with many nodes than DSR.
