With CAE technology, the free-drop response of a mobile phone can be simulated before manufacturing. Based on MSC.PATRAN/DYTRAN software, it shows a main job of simulation for the functional effect of the rib thickness to the wall thickness in the strength and stiffness as mobile phone, the results present that the universal reference in the rib thickness design is gained.
