Representing Knowledge for Portfolio Management Decision Making

The business environment is complex and ill-defined. Broad areas ofknowledge are needed to solve problems and each application area mayrequire a different knowledge representation scheme. A system forportfolio investment advisors is being developed in Prolog at NYUwhich supports such an environment. It uses mixed knowledgerepresentation schemes: production rules, logic, directed networks,and frames.
