Analysis and Evaluation about Advanced Humid Air Turbine System

It is required for the power generation system that the generation efficiency is higher and operation characteristics are better. Many gas turbine systems which increased power, improved generation efficiency and decreased emissions of NO x by high humid air are proposed. We analyzed these systems under a common calculation condition, such as atmospheric condition, efficiency of equipments and combustor outlet temperature. As a result, we understood thermodynamic mechanism that generation efficiency is improved by high humid air and clarified that AHAT (Advanced humid air turbine system) can achieve high efficiency though the system configuration is simpler than other systems. And we analyzed power and generation efficiency change of AHAT by atmospheric temperature and compared to combined cycle system. And some partial load driving methods were proposed and analyzed about the generation efficiency and combustor outlet temperature because high generation efficiency and combustion stability is necessary at not only the full load but also the partial load. As a result of comparing these results and performance of the combined cycle system, the partial load characteristic of AHAT also exhibited better than the combined cycle system.
