James S. Walker received his B.S. at SUNY Buffalo, 1974; his M.S. at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, 1977; and his D.A. at the University of Illinois, Chicago, 1982. He is a professor of mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He has published papers on Fourier analysis, complex variables, wavelets, and image processing. He is the author of three books on Fourier analysis, FFTs, and wavelets.
