한국형발사체 발사대 다중화 발사관제설비의 고가용성

Launch Complex(LC) is a large-scale ground operation system for the launch of Launch Vehicle(LV). LC is mainly composed of the fuel ground support equipment(FGSE), the mechanical ground support equipment(MGSE), and the electrical ground support equipment(EGSE). The launch operation for KSLV-II (Korea Space Launch Vehicle-II) will be conducted remotely at LCC(Launch Control Center) by EGSE of LC. Thus EGSE, which is also called the launch control system(LCS), should have high reliability and stability for its exact operation. The advanced countries of LV have been used the concept of multiple redundancy to get the required availability of the system. Although the concept has been also adopted widely in the industrial field, much of cases are to use the double redundancy. On the other hand, the triple or higher redundancy is limitedly taken due to its complexity or difficulty in implementation. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the structure and operation of higher redundancy to employ. In this paper we explain the concept of availability and estimate it for the development of KSLV-II LCS.
