Transmissive and Constructivist Beliefs of in-Service Mathematics Teachers and of Beginning University Students

In recent years, the professional competence of teachers has become more and more important as a field of educational research. Teachers create learning opportunities and have a crucial influence on subject related and interdisciplinary achievement of students’ educational goals (cf. Baumert & Kunter, 2013a; Reusser, Pauli, & Elmer, 2011).
