The handheld partial discharge detector of the transformer, disclosed by the invention, can carry out effective detection and analysis on a local discharge signal of the transformer generated to a field transformer and judges whether the interior of the transformer generates local discharge or not through sound and electricity combined analysis, and carries out qualitative estimation on the intensity of the local discharge signal so as to have the advantages of compact structure, handheld type, portability, convenience in detection and the like.
